Welcome to the Resources section, a curated list of the tools and resources that I use and strongly recommend.
These include items I suggest as a way to maintain and sustain comfort between massages, as well as the brands and services that I employ to allow me to run and manage a small massage business.
Before introducing you to the resources I know and trust, an important disclosure:
Many of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you. Please understand that I suggest these items and resources based on the experiences I have had with them, and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to purchase them.
Biofreeze – Many of my clients use Biofreeze for joint and muscle pain due to arthritis, sports injuries, and repetitive use strain. Biofreeze is an excellent option for use during the day, as the scent doesn’t linger. The roll-on is very portable and helpful if you’d rather not spread the gel with your hands (you don’t want to get this stuff in your eye). It should be noted, Biofreeze has a cooling effect, so if you chill easily, you may want to consider Sombra (listed below) instead.
Sombra – Sombra can be used in a manner similar to Biofreeze. The difference is that it has a warming effect, and some of my clients and family members use it before bed for this reason. Like the Biofreeze (listed above), Sombra comes in a portable roll-on for a no mess application.
Bon Vital Massage Oil – I personally use the Bon Vital ‘Naturale’ oil in every massage. I choose it because it has excellent glide and absorbs well into the skin as well as being unscented and nut free.
Aloha Bay candles – I use and sell the essential oil scented votives in my practice. The company has many other scented and unscented candles available. They burn well and fragranced candles smell divine. I’ve tried many other candles, and these are the ones I always find myself returning to. Client and personal favorites include chai spice, holy temple, and lemon verbena.
Earthlite massage products – All of the massage furniture I use is manufactured by Earthlite. I find they are the perfect blend of quality, durability, portability, comfort and ease of use. The specifics models I use of each are listed below.
Face Cradle – Earthlite Headrest Caress with Strata Face Pillow
Chair – Earthlite Vortex Massage Chair
Genbook – I use Genbook for all of my scheduling and many clients have raved about it’s ease of use. Whenever I’ve needed assistance the Genbook team is quick to get back to me and very helpful. It has become an indispensable tool for how easy it makes scheduling appointments online and in person.
Square – Square has been a valuable tool for processing credit card payments in my small business. It is both user friendly and very easy to set up. Clients love that their receipts are instantly emailed or texted to them, and I love the ease of use and quick turn around time.
